This 10-spool kit features 50, 40, and 28-weight threads geared towards garment construction. Colors include 2692, 2021, 2600 (50wt), 4020, 1104, 6737, 2250, 2810 (40wt), and 2120, and 4655 (12wt).

Aurifil s Mako Cotton thread in 50wt is the most versatile and popular cotton thread, perfect for quilting, English paper piecing (EPP), machine embroidery, applique, and much more. Cotton thread in 40 weight is slightly thicker than a standard thread making it ideal for topstitching, free motion quilting, and lacework. As the second heaviest thread, 28-weight is perfect for making your design stand out and giving you a three-dimensional look. All three are a 2-ply, long-staple Egyptian Cotton that has been mercerized to strengthen the thread and give it a lustrous sheen. The 50-weight spools hold 220 yards, while the 40-weight has 164 yards, and the 28-weight has 109 yards.
