Aurifil s 80wt is a slightly thinner thread that helps create flat seams while still being strong. It all but disappears into the seams and hides the stitches. These threads are a 2-ply, long-staple Egyptian Cotton that has been mercerized for strength and gives it a lustrous sheen. The 50-weight spools hold 220 yards, while the 80-weight contain 300 yards.
